Annie started racing mountain bikes in high school and joined the Appalachian State Cycling team in 2014, where she was the team president for two years. During that time she improved her fitness and expanded her racing history to include road, downhill, and cyclocross experience. She is a National Champion for Cat 1 Women 19-24  (2018), a three-time conference champion for ACCC mountain biking, won 2nd place for short track and 4th place for XC at collegiate mountain bike nationals in 2017, and was 2nd in XC for Cat 1 19-24 year old women at open MTB Nationals in 2017. She was also a board member for the Boone Area Cyclists for two years and was a recipient of the 2017 USAC Stenner and Kuck Scholarship. When she is not on her bike, she spends her time eating ice cream, teaching girls mountain biking at camp, and hanging out with her four younger sisters.

Annie graduated in May 2018 and spent three months interning at Carmichael Training Systems to become an endurance coach. She is certified as a USAC Level 3 coach, is Wilderness First Responder Certified, and has her SafeSport training certification. She is currently riding for the Carmichael Training Systems (CTS) Cycling Team, based in Brevard, NC.
